Sugar is my wife's "favorite". She was to be a breeding bitch, but she developed a week hock (back leg) and therefore was never used for showing or breeding. Dolly has worked with her in Obedience, but to this point hasn't ever shown her.

Of course, we have a nickname for her, too. We call her "sugar-butt" or "butt" for short. She sometimes lives up to the name. Then, of course all basenjis can be stubborn...

* = Again both kennel names and Tamu Kita translates as sweet thing. That is not only a good description of sugar (the sweetner) but also Sugar, the basenji.
