TruDol Kennels?? - Sorry, if I have a HARD time believing that one..
Ok, you will have to meet one of our BASENJIS, for telling that "FIB".
They are fearsome, mean and hungry .....
Careful!! - He might lick you to death!!
The Dogs Of TruDol
We used to be a basenji kennel (now only according to local ordinances) and used to show them in confirmation and obedience. We have also dabbled in lure-coursing. Currently, we have six basenjis and have not bred any of them for several years. We just enjoy them as part of our family. (We have been accused of spoiling them) They are house dogs and come in to avoid the summer heat, winter cold and the night critters that are common in the desert. Several of them are fixed as we believe in spaying and neutering of all dogs not used in a responsible breeding program.
Our kennel is located in the town of Pahrump, Nevada U.S.A. My wife, Dolly, used to be a cat person. Her mom was a dog person and dragged her along to dog shows. One day there was a ring conflict and her mom tossed her the lead. Dolly came out with the higher ribbon. That is all it took! My family had a kennel as I was growing up. They had English Setters (Eden Acres Kennel) and were very active in showing and breeding.
When I first met Dolly, she had a couple of Shetland Sheepdogs. One named Tippy earned his CD (obedience title). As time went on, Dolly had greater problems grooming her dogs. Her hands would get numb, etc. Since then we have found out that she has diabetes. We starting looking for a short haired dog that was easier to groom. We decided on the basenji. :-)

Of Course, you most likely came here to see photos about our basenjis not long stories about us or our kennel. Therefore, I will tell you to click on the hieroglyphs below. It is a "name plate" for that member of our kennel. On the bottom of each page, you will find another one to lead you to the next kennel member's photos and story. Warning: These are in no special order and there might be some surprises, too.

We strongly support animal welfare, but oppose the extremes of the animal rights movement. People have rights that are granted by God. (The government only re-affirms those rights, by the way) Animals do not have rights, they have needs. Humans have responsibilities given by God, these include taking proper care of animals, that he gave them for their pleasure and enjoyment. If you want to know more, click on the banner below:

I just found this organization on the Internet and like the idea. Joining Christian Dog breeders together. This adds Christian values to breeding, a practice that I have long followed. They even keep track of their members to make sure that they live by a higher standard of conduct then most breeders.

NOTE: Webrings is trying to improve the older navbar system that they inherited from Yahoo. You will see only only one navbar below, but can see the rest of them (if any) by clicking on the view all underneath that navbar. The reason for this change is to help the pages load faster for you.

The music you hear is "Walk like an Egyptian ". The basenji came from Egypt about 3,000 B.C. and is one of oldest recoginized dog breeds in the world.
