Browni is one of our puppies that kept as a stud dog. He has a beautiful head and a really nice body. Unfortunaly, he didn't do well in the show ring. American Judges like "flashy" basenjis with lots color. Brownie is almost totally brown, as his name implies. Since he didn't become a champion, he lost his chance to become a stud dog. (We will not breed a non-champion) We kidding call him our "champion of reserves" since he placed second so many times.
Actually, we do have a nickname for him (as we do all our dogs), we call him "legs". He earned this name because he flails his legs everytime he is picked up and carried. This trick can be highly troublesome, especially when he pushes off the walls and almost knocks you over. He can be a real handfull. :-)
* = Again his name is made up of both kennel names. (Tamba & Trudol) Kahawa Rangi loosely translates "the color of coffee" since there is no word for brown in Swalihi.
